Appalachian Student Dietetic Association
The Appalachian Student Dietetic Association is a student foods and nutrition organization that offers a wide variety of opportunities and experiences for any Appalachian student. Our parent organization is the American Dietetic Association.
Welcome to the Appalachian Student Dietetic Association's home page. The purpose of ASDA is the advancement of nutrition education on our campus and in the community and to promote leadership, professionalism, and the field of dietetics within our membership.

5 A Day
Dole is sponsoring a 5 A Day Program in which they are promoting every person to include at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day into their diet. Please see the below website for more information.

Membership:
Is open to all current Appalachian State University students who are interested in nutrition or related fields or topics. A student should maintain interest and participation in all association activities.
Meetings:
Meetings take place twice monthly in Crossroads in the Student Union on Fridays at 1 p.m. The next meeting is September 23rd. Future meeting dates will be posted shortly.

General Business Meetings-Most of our general business meetings include collection of dues ($10), decision making of upcoming meetings and general business that needs to be discussed.
Matching/Careers in Dietetics info session-During this meeting we will have one of the nutrition professors come and talk to us about the professional outlook and decisions that are made in becoming a registered dietitian. The matching process will also be discussed and what paper work and references need to be attained for this process.

Dues:
Dues are $10.00 per semester and are non-refundable. If a member does not pay dues, ASDA will not be placed on the member's student activity record.
