Mission Statement
To prepare professionals who enhance the well-being of individuals within the family, community, and consumer environments.
Vision Statement
To be a leader in developing professionals who excel in the areas of apparel and textiles design and merchandising, child development, early childhood education and intervention, family and consumer sciences education, food systems management, or nutrition and dietetics.
Accreditation
Our Family and Consumer Sciences program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, and our dietetics program is fully accredited by the CADE, Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education. In addition our teacher education programs share in institutional accreditation by NCATE, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
